A little adventure with a ghost crab named Crystal, chased by little children on a ghost crab hunt. The crabs and beaches were almost monochromatic, so I took creative license and inspiration from our the local sunsets and sunrises, adding lots of color so Crystal showed off a rainbow of color like she was being spotlighted by a prism. And it seemed only poetic and natural to show the children in a variety of colors, ages, sizes and abilities. Diversity is good, healthy, and interesting in nature. Contrasting day scenes with night scenes also gave the book more visual interest I believe.
